ILOILO City – A total of 420 police personnel from the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) were promoted to the next higher rank.
These include 11 police commissioned officers – three promoted to the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel, one to Police Major, one to Police Captain, and six to Police Lieutenant – and 389 police non-commissioned officers who were elevated to their respective next higher ranks.
Also, 20 personnel from the National Support Units stationed in PRO-6 have been promoted to their next higher ranks.
Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, director of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6), administered the donning of ranks held at the PRO-6 parade ground, on Monday, December 15.
Also present were officers from the National Police Commission Region 6 (Napolcom-6) and PRO-6 Command Group, regional staff, and regional chiefs of the National Support Units.
Ligan congratulated the newly promoted officers and emphasized that promotion is not only a privilege, but also a greater responsibility: “Higher rank demands enhanced leadership, integrity, and accountability. I urge you to remain role models within the organization and steadfast partners of the communities you serve.”
He added: “Your new rank is not merely a symbol, it is a call. A call to inspire. A call to lead with humility. A call to set the example, even when no one is watching. A call to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and service.”/PN
