BACOLOD City – A 50-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Barangay Matab-ang, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Resident Evelyn Tamayo died of stab wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspects as Jason Abella and a certain “Tolendoy.”
According to police investigators, Tamayo refused to sell a bottle of whiskey to Abella and Tolendoy.
This prompted the suspects to attack the victim using a bladed weapon around 7 p.m. on June 7.
Tamayo was rushed to the Talisay City Health Center where the attending physician declared her “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Talisay City police station conducted a manhunt operation against the suspects, who fled after the incident./PN
