ILOILO City – Seven workers complained to the police that their company has yet to pay them more than a week’s worth of salary.
They are working on the renovation of a restaurant branch on Iznart Street, Barangay Arroyo, City Proper, a police report showed.
Their employer has yet to pay them a total of P29,130, including overtime pay, for the work they have done from Aug. 26 to Sept. 1, the police report stated. The workers are:
- foreman Paul Carman, 34, of Barangay Calansanan, Badiangan, Iloilo

warehouse man Steve Ordiales, 43, of Barangay San Juan, Molo district

mason Lemuel Ravanero, 37, of Barangay Calansalan, Badiangan

mason Romy Lucero, 41, of Barangay Manaolan, Badiangan

mason Repe Acanto, 39, of Barangay Manaolan, Badiangan

laborer Frankie Lozanes, 35, of Barangay Manaolan, Badiangan

laborer Eduardo Hisanza, 32, of Barangay Manaolan, Badiangan
Carman has yet to get P10,199; Ordiales, P7,300; Ravanero, P6,631; Lucero, P5,500; Acanto, P2,200; Lozanes, P3,150; and Hisanza, P3,150, stated the police report.
They are all working for W.R. Palomo Builders Company based in Barangay Manoc-manoc, Boracay Island.
Their operations manager Ronie Pananguilan, project coordinator Paterno Llamo and project engineer Janine Del Pilar tried to collect the seven workers’ pay from their company, but the latter just ignored them, the police report stated.
