MANILA – Eight Filipino-foreigners are
among the early birds to sign up for the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft set on Dec. 8 at
Robinsons’ Place in Ermita, Manila.
Three-point gunner Roosevelt Adams and former Adamson University Falcon Sean
Manganti banner the talents who have decided to make the jump to the pros.
Adams, who had stints with Mighty Sports and Go for Gold-CSB in the 2019 PBA D-League
Aspirants’ Cup, and Manganti are touted to be picked in the first round of the
annual draft proceedings.
Filipino-Canadian forward Vince Tolentino also joined the bandwagon along with
Adrian Wong, who was part of the Ateneo Blue Eagles team that swept the UAAP
Season 82 men’s basketball season.
Rounding out the list were Fil-Am guard Jason Riley, forward Daryl Singontiko, three-point gunner Valandre Chauca, and 37-year-old center Mark Taylor.
Other Fil-foreign players as well as other rookie applicants will have until Nov. 29 to file their application.
Among the local players who are set to file their application next week are Negrenses Edgar Charcos and Kib Montalbo, Jerrick Balanza, Edson Batiller, Kent Salado, and William McAloney./PN
