BACOLOD City – Eight persons were caught playing mahjong at about 2:22 p.m. on Sept. 26 in Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Officers of the Bago City Police Station recovered two mahjong pads, two sets of mahjong tiles and bet money of P356.
The suspects were Erna Pilada, 49; Maria Cherry Gana-an, 71; Winnie Gonzales, 37; Helen Consemino, 56; Manolito Catiquista Jr., 46; Roldan Flores, 40; Franklin Secuelan, 49; and Edgar Malabanan, 52; all are residents of Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602 were filed against the suspects who were detained at the Bago City Police Station./PN
