ILOILO City – Eight persons were injured after the jeepney they were riding fell down an inclined road in Barangay Cadabdab, Tubungan, Iloilo.
Three victims were brought to the Tubungan Rural Health Center for slight injuries, while the other five were rushed to the Rep. Pedro Trono Memorial District Hospital in Guimbal town after sustaining body injuries, the police said.
The 70-year-old driver Mario Gatumbato of San Miguel town was also hurt, the police added.
According to police investigators, the jeepney malfunctioned upon reaching the hilly portion of the road and caused it to go downward.
