BACOLOD City – A woman and her son were shot in Purok BM, Barangay Taculing on Monday.
Ronela Canencia, 45, and 21-year-old Ranuel sustained gunshot wounds on their chests.
The suspect, 60-year-old Alex Javier, fled, said Chief Inspector Jovil Sedel, Police Station 6 commander.
A grudge over a footwalk was the motive, claimed Sedel.
The mother and son were taken to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital. They are now out of danger, police said.
Javier remains at large as of this writing.
All three were residents of Barangay Taculing./PN
