BACOLOD City – A resident was killed while two others were injured in separate shooting incidents on Sunday.

Anthony Tenebroso, 25, of Barangay 2 died of a gunshot wound on the stomach, Police Station 2 said, citing Philippine Red Cross responders.

Purok Sigay locals heard a gunshot and found the victim lying on a pavement next to a variety store at around 5 a.m. They did not see the gunman, police said.

In a videoke bar at the Northbound Terminal in Barangay Banago, three people were shot: Joergie Umali, 19, of Basay, Negros Oriental; construction worker Edgar Sacate, 43, of Eastern Samar; and waitress Mary Jane Ulgasan, 39, of Cauayan, Negros Occidental.

A group of unidentified people had a commotion around 4:20 a.m., Police Station 3 investigation showed.

Some of them left on board a tricycle, but one went back and fired at the victims using a gun of unknown caliber.

The victims were taken to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
