BACOLOD City – Police Station 1 will file today charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against three suspects arrested in separate operations on April 29.
Noel Janeo, 48, of Barangay 10 allegedly violated sections 5 (selling), 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) and 12 (possession of drug paraphernalia) of Republic Act 9165.
If Janeo tests positive for drug use, he will be slapped with another charge (violation of Section 15), said Senior Inspector Eugene Tolentino, Police Station 1 chief.
Police caught Janeo and Jay Christopher Jimena, 30, also of Barangay 10, in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 12. Janeo yielded two plastic packs of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia and Jimena, an improvised tooter with traces of suspected shabu.
Jimena will be slapped with charges for violation of sections 11 and 12, and 15 if he also tests positive for drug use.
Meanwhile John Daryl Salcedo, 36, of Barangay 35 will also be charged with violation of Section 12, and Section 15 if he tests positive for drug use.
Salcedo was arrested by police officers surveilling the village. He yielded an improvised tooter with traces of suspected shabu, a disposable lighter and a black pouch.
All three suspects were detained in the Police Station 1 lockup cell./PN
