SAN JOSE, Antique – Vice Gov. Edgar Denosta is waiting for the different Palarong Pambansa committee chairpersons to submit their respective liquidation reports.
For the first time, Antique hosted the national multisport competition from April 23 to 29.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan was set to deliberate/assess the Palaro hosting and tackle the liquidation reports in their next regular session, said Denosta.
Denosta is the presiding officer of the Provincial Board.
The provincial government allocated P20 million for the hosting.
An additional P20 million was allotted supposedly for the oval track rehabilitation.
The latter amount was used for other purposes during the hosting after the Semirara Mining and Power Corp. donated the cost of the oval track rehab.
The Department of Education also downloaded P30 million to the Division of Antique for the preparation of the billeting schools.
In addition, the Provincial Sports Commission donated P10 million to be spent for the bedding foams of the student athletes. (PNA)
