BACOLOD City – Two motorcycles collided into each other at an intersection in Barangay Bagtic, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Thursday.

Their respective drivers were killed, while one back-rider was injured, police said.

The 49-year-old William Gaspejo of Barangay Guimbala-on, Silay City and the other still unidentified driver sustained head and body injuries.

They were rushed to the Teresita Jalandoni Memorial Provincial Hospital but were declared “dead on arrival.”

Gaspejo’s back-rider, Joven Himolata, sustained fracture legs. He was confined in the same hospital.

Police Officer 3 Jeffrey Redoblo, case investigator, said they were still trying to identify the other fatality as of press time.

In another development, a Kabankalan City resident was sideswiped by a tricycle on Rafael Sala Avenue, Barangay Sampinit, Bago City.

Artemio Aguilar, 49, of Barangay Daanbanua, Kabankalan City fell on the road and sustained head and body injuries. He died while undergoing treatment at the Bago City Hospital.

Aguilar was driving his motorcycle on his way to Bacolod City at the time of the incident on Wednesday. The tricycle sped away.

Bago City police were still trying to identify the tricycle and its driver./PN
