ILOILO City – A taxi driver and a companion were arrested in a buy-bust operation of the police yesterday in Barangay Magdalo, La Paz district.
Dwight Pacificar, 56, was a resident of Janiuay, Iloilo and driver of Julix taxi while Kristina Tendero, 29, was from Barangay Abilay, Oton town. Both were detained at the La Paz police station.
Around 1 p.m. an undercover police officer of the Police Regional Office 6’s Regional Drug Enforcement Unit bought from the suspects a sachet of shabu for P500.
Ten more sachets were found in a pouch seized from Tendero, police said.
The two were placed under surveillance for weeks prior to the sting operation.
As of this writing, the police were readying a complaint against the suspects for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
