ILOILO City – On De Leon Street, City Proper a 25-year-old woman was caught soliciting bets for an illegal numbers game.
Jhonna Mae Navales of Barangay Sooc, Arevalo district was detained at Police Station 1 yesterday. Police arrested her around 1:15 p.m.
Navales faces a charge for violating Republic Act 9287.
If found guilty by the court as illegal gambling collectors or agents, the suspects face “from eight years and one day to 10 years” of imprisonment./PN
