ILOILO City – A 13-year-old boy accidentally hanged himself to death in Barangay Nabitasan, Leganes, Iloilo.
An incoming Grade 6 pupil of Bungso-an Elementary School, he was playing with a rope in their house around 12 noon.
Police said the boy was play-acting a suicide in front of his siblings on the second floor of the house.
“His siblings saw him dangling from the ceiling of the second floor. They initially believed he was still play-acting,” said Senior Inspector Liza Nufuente, Leganes police chief.
An elder sister decided to check the boy and was surprised that her brother was not just playing dead; he was really gone, said Nufuente./PN
