ILOILO City – Four people were injured after a 10-wheeler truck crashed against a house, a store, a car repair shop, and an electrical post yesterday in Barangay Bito-on, Jaro district.
One of them was the 26-year-old truck driver Arjay Sagloria of Bacolod City.
Aside from Sagloria, 31-year-old house owner Arnel Solomon and wife Karen Joy, and 37-year-old storeowner Winston Ignacio also sustained minor wounds and bruises.
Iloilo City Emergency Response Team personnel treated them.
The incident happened around 1:20 a.m., a police report showed.
According to Sagloria, the truck was headed to La Paz district from Leganes, Iloilo when its brakes malfunctioned.
Police said Sagloria was facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in damage to property and physical injuries./PN
