ILOILO City – Two Molo district residents yielded 65 plastic packs of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Hipodromo, City Proper.
Edison Locsin, 39, of Barangay Boulevard and Jovenal Yabot, of Barangay Zone 6 Calumpang were arrested and detained at Police Station 1.
The suspects sold a plastic pack of suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P2,200 — Locsin handed over the item while Yabot received the marked money — a police report showed.
Locsin yielded 64 more plastic packs of the same substance during the operation around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
A wallet, three cell phones, three lighters, a digital weighing scale, a black pouch, an improvised tooter, two homemade firearms, two holsters, and a plastic bag were further seized from Locsin, police said.
The suspected prohibited drugs were turned over to the Police Regional Office 6 crime laboratory. The rest of the recovered items were taken by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 6 Alpha./PN
