BACOLOD City – After almost three weeks of hiding, an inmate who escaped from the Metro Bacolod District Jail with Special Intensive Care Area (MBDJ-SICA) in Barangay Taculing in this city was captured by the Murcia police.
Around 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Marlon Molina, 38, was arrested in his residence in Barangay Blumentritt, Murcia town.
Molina escaped from jail together with Ebson Jaen, 36; and Noli Dega, 39, both residents of Bacolod on June 4.
On the same day, Jaen was captured at a vacant lot outside the Bacolod City Police Office compound, while Dega was apprehended at his relative’s house on June 14 in Barangay Caduha-an, Cadiz City.
Molina was charged for robbery and violation of Republic Act 6539 or the Anti-Carnapping Act of 1972, while Jaen and Dega have pending cases for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The three suspects are now in the custody of the MBDJ-SICA./PN
