ILOILO City – Illegal gambling and illegal possession of firearm charges may be filed against a 49-year-old man from Barangay Sulangan, Dumangas.
Officers caught Samuel Adelantar tallying bets for the illegal numbers game “bookies.” He also yielded a Smith and Wesson .357-caliber revolver, a police report showed.
Bundles of cotejos (betting stubs), tally sheets, a stapler, a calculator, a ball pen and P160 cash were further seized from him.
Police operated against Adelantar on the strength of a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Vicente V. Go of the Regional Trial Court Branch 68.
Adelantar was detained at the Dumangas police station after his arrest around 11 a.m. on Friday./PN
