ILOILO City – For possession of an allegedly unlicensed firearm, a drunken man in Jordan, Guimaras was detained.

Police seized from the 34-year-old Joey Gonzaga a .45-caliber pistol loaded with 25 bullets and an empty shell.

Gonzaga, a resident of Villa Encilla Subdivision, Jordan, failed to show documents proving his legal ownership of the gun, a police report showed.

The arresting police were responding to a call from a resident of Barangay San Miguel, Jordan about an armed drunken man.

Gonzaga was taken to the Jordan police station after his arrest around 10:30 p.m. on July 21.

He was facing a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
