ILOILO City – A police pursuit led to the arrest of two teenagers from Barangay Rizal Palapala I, City Proper who allegedly snatched the mobile phone of a businesswoman at the Iloilo Terminal Market.
Offices identified the suspects as 19-year-old John Ivan Brillantes and a 16-year-old boy.
Ma. Leony Donguines told the Community Police Assistance (Compac) outpost at the market that two boys took her P2,000 cellphone placed on top of a table in her kiosk around 11:35 p.m. on July 22.
Police Officer 3 Leones Cayetano of the Compac arrested the suspects around 7:30 a.m. the following day.
A Cherry Mobile J5, which Donguines identified as hers, was recovered from the minor, a police report showed.
The suspects were turned over to Police Station 1. The minor was placed in the custody of the station’s Women and Children Protection Desk./PN
