BACOLOD City – Police are investigating the motive in a shooting incident in Barangay 4, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
The victim was the 38-year-old Rigel Fernandez of Barangay 36. He died of gunshot wounds on the left chest, a police report showed.
Fernandez was taken to the Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital where he was pronounced “dead on arrival.”
Silay City police have yet to identify the assailant.
An empty shell of a .40 firearm was recovered from the crime scene, police said./PN
