ILOILO City – A 28-year-old woman slapped a policeman taking her to the Mandurriao district police station.
April Velarde of Barangay San Juan, Molo struck Police Officer 1 Jordan Jomolo on the face, a police report showed.
But this was not the reason for her arrest.
Velarde allegedly threw a glass bottle at Reymund Mercurio, 28, of Barangay Taft North, Mandurriao around 1 a.m. yesterday.
Mercurio told the police they were at the Paseo de Arcangeles – a dining and entertainment strip in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao – at the time. He said he was hit on the lips and decided to arrest Velarde.
Velarde was believed drunk at the time./PN
