ILOILO City – For refusing to pay his bet in a cockfight, an 18-year-old was detained at the Mandurriao district police station.
Riconel Abunyawan transacted with Randy Mapa, 46, saying he would place a P11,000 bet on a fighting cock at a cockpit on Q. Abeto Street, Mandurriao around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 4.
That fighting cock lost, a police report showed.
Abunyawan refused to pay, prompting Mapa to arrest the former and take him to the police station./PN
