ILOILO City – While it’s not “bookies,” it’s not any better.
For soliciting bets for “PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) ending,” a 34-year-old woman was arrested in Barangay Cogon, Roxas City.
Paper stubs, three pieces of cards, a ball pen, and P60 bet money were seized from Elvie Ame, a resident of Cogon.
Ame is facing illegal gambling charges. She was detained at the Roxas City police station after her arrest around 5:10 p.m. on Aug. 6./PN
