BACOLOD City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the police caught a fire officer and a civilian in a sting operation in Barangay Lo-oc, Bais City, Negros Oriental. Another suspect ran away.
Fire Officer 1 Antonieta Catacutan, 52, and Francisco Garzon, 42, were arrested while Jade Villafuerte, 33, managed to escape. All were residents of the village.
Recovered from them were five sachets of shabu, a cellphone, drug paraphernalia, P500 marked money, and P1,120 cash, a police report showed.
Police said Garzon has a pending arrest warrant issued by Judge Candelario Gonzales of the Regional Trial Court Branch 54 in Bais City.
The three were detained and facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
