BACOLOD City – Police have yet to identify the suspects and the motive in shooting a tricycle driver in Barangay Martilo, La Libertad, Negros Oriental.
Unidentified persons on board two motorcycles fired at the 38-year-old Remie Faburada around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Faburada, a resident of Barangay Malusay, Guihulngan, was driving two female passengers to Barangay Jimalolod in the city at the time, a police report showed.
Faburada lost control and fell off a cliff. Before that, the passengers managed to jump out of the tricycle.
The suspects fled toward Guihulngan City proper, the passengers told the police.
Police recovered 18 empty shells of a .45 pistol from the crime scene.
La Libertad medicolegal officer Louie Jay Amante autopsied Faburada’s body. The results have yet to be released./PN
