ROXAS City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) recognized the Roxas City police station as Best Component City Police Station in Western Visayas at the regional headquarters in Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City.
Philippine National Police (PNP) director General Ronaldo “Bato” dela Rosa handed the award to Roxas City police chief Superintendent Dante Tayco during a ceremony on Monday.
“With all humility, I would like to give credit to my predecessor, Superintendent Luther Lugo III, and to the men and women of the Roxas City police station,” said Tayco.
Tayco assumed the position on July 4.
He also thanked the city government for its logistical and administrative support.
“[We were] successful in our campaign against illegal drugs and illegal gambling. We have the biggest quantity of illegal drugs hauled in Western Visayas,” Tayco added.
This year, PNP is celebrating its 116th anniversary./PN
