ILOILO City – Police seized a .45-caliber Colt MK1V from the house of a resident of Barangay Dapdapan, Lemery, Iloilo.
The 30-year-old Raymund Arban was arrested. He did not have a license to possess the firearm, police said.
Officers searched the house of Arban on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Rogelio J. Amador of the Regional Trial Court Branch 66 (Barotac Viejo).
Aside from the gun, the search also yielded a magazine for the .45-caliber pistol with six live bullets, police said.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act may be filed against Arban.
Operatives from Lemery police station and 13 police noncommissioned officers staged the raid around 7:29 p.m. on Aug. 24./PN
