STA. Lucia Land Inc., a property developer had launched its latest community lake development in Silay City.

With its 67- hectare lake residential community, La Alegria will become another landmark project.

The new development in Silay City, also known as the “Paris of Negros,” is expected to fit the Negrenses’ lifestyle.

“We, at Sta. Lucia, have been continuously creating communities that have improved the lives of many Filipinos for decades now and this time, we hope to bring our expertise in Silay City,” Sta. Lucia president Exequiel Robles said. “We are aware of the Negrenses’ love for knowledge and appreciation for the arts and culture and thus, what we aim to bring them is a development that would pay homage to the city’s rich heritage and culture.”

There is a growing interest in Silay as the new airport and proposed theme park projects thrive in number. Through La Alegria, they will be able to provide the market a practical investment that would stay its value over time, Robles explained.

La Alegria’s ground breaking will be on Sept. 8.

The area’s development will cover the road networks and utilities infrastructure are seen to be completed within a year. 1,101 residential lots and 83 commercial lots are on offer.

“We’re still affordable and are keeping it at mid-price, which is very comparable to our competitors,” Orchard Property Marketing Corp. President Ed Tirona said. “But our land has more value because it’s on a prime location, and it’s unique in a way that it has more amenities and a lake.”

“Mixing history with modern-day innovation” is what La Alegria wanted.

They are offering a fully-equipped clubhouse with a covered basketball and badminton courts, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool.

La Alegria will have a lighthouse, its man-made lake called Lake Aurora, and the Paradise Island with its own swimming pool, gazebo, and picnic area.

Sta. Lucia chose Claudio Lopez Inc. (CLI), a homegrown developer from Negros as their partner.

CLI owns the land being developed as La Alegria.

Having the homegrown firm as their partner allowed them to create a project that could cater the Negrenses’ taste, Robles concluded. “Things are looking up at Silay, given its booming economy and the growing interest of many businesses to locate in the area. Thus, we believe our entry came at a truly opportune time.”/PN
