ILOILO City – Four unlicensed firearms were confiscated from a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Makato, Aklan.
Carlos Biting, 52, was arrested. He was facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Officers searched his house on Monday and found four .30-caliber carbines, three magazines and 40 pieces of live ammunition, a police report showed.
Biting was taken to the Makato police station where he was detained after his arrest at around 11:20 a.m.
Police conducted the search on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Bienvenido Barrios Jr. of the Regional Trial Court in Kalibo./PN
