ILOILO City – Two people were shot in Barangay Infante, Molo district yesterday.

Residents Jeffrey Pineda Angel and Alfred Palma Navidad were brought to the Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital, a police report showed.

Police identified their shooter as Rey Cadiz Alinday.

Angel and Alinday had a misunderstanding during a drinking binge at around 1:15 a.m.

Alinday went home while Angel followed him.

The former then grabbed a handgun of unidentified caliber and fired at Angel on the back, the police report stated.

Navidad tried to pacify them but Alinday also shot him.

Angel sustained two gunshot wounds while Navidad sustained one on the left chest, police said.

Iloilo Doctors’ Hospital personnel informed the police about the victims’ admission.

Alinday fled after the incident. Police launched a hot pursuit against him./PN
