SAN JOSE, Antique – The Tricycle Owners and Drivers Association in the town of Sibalom attended a Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) forum.

The forum, which was held in Parvanna Inn in Sibalom , aims to widen the awareness of the tricycle drivers about PhilHealth programs and benefits, said Information Officer Liza Joyce Quanico.

The drivers were keen on asking about the processes to avail themselves of the PhilHealth benefits during the open forum.

Quanico said the drivers can voluntary enroll with PhilHealth through a group registration with as low as P6.67 daily contribution.

PhilHealth considers the drivers as part of the self-earning individuals of the in formal sector. Also included in the informal sector are land-based migrant workers, self-earning professionals, naturalized Filipinos, and citizens of other countries. (PIA/PN)
