AFTER struggling in its first three matches, University of San Agustin finally entered the win column of the Iloilo 14 and Under Girls Volleyball League with back-to-back wins on Monday at the Pavia National High School.

San Agustin captured its first victory with a 25-12, 25-20 sweep of Pavia NHS. A domination of the slumping Iloilo City National High School 25-12, 25-22 followed.

Also in Bracket B, Santo Niño Elementary School stayed unbeaten with a 21-25, 25-21, 25-20 victory over La Paz National High School while I. Arroyo Elementary School prevailed over Pavia 25-11, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Dumangas dealt Central Philippine University its first loss 25-14, 25-15. Later in the day, CPU recovered with a 25-13, 25-18 sweep of Ateneo de Iloilo.

In other Bracket A matches, Hua Siong won over San Miguel (25-16, 11-25, 25-20) but lost to Cabatuan (25-23, 25-17). Oton also defeated San Miguel (25-23, 23-25, 25-15) while Ateneo prevailed over Cabatuan (25-23, 25-23).

In Bracket A standings, Dumangas is still ahead with a 5-0 win-loss card. It was followed by CPU (5-1), Cabatuan (2-3), Oton NHS (2-3), Hua Siong (2-3), San Miguel (1-4), and Ateneo de Iloilo (1-4).

Santo Niño still dominates Bracket B with 5-0. Bacolod Tay Tung High School (4-1), I. Arroyo (3-2), La Paz NHS (3-2), San Agustin (2-3), City High (1-4), and Pavia (0-6) followed./PN
