ILOILO City – Leaving his bed was a bad idea.
Ren Heart Bregante, 31, of Barangay Jalandoni Estate, Lapuz district got stabbed by a relative, a police report showed.
He was taken to St. Paul’s Hospital Iloilo on General Luna Street for the treatment of the wound on his left arm.
Police were still searching for the suspect Ren Heart identified as Kenneth Paul Bregante.
The officers said Ren Heart and Kenneth Paul were related but they did not say how exactly.
Ren Heart was about to sleep around 11:40 p.m. on Sept. 23 when he heard an angry voice. It was that of Kenneth Paul, the police report stated.
Ren Heart left his bed to check where the voice was coming from only to get stabbed.
Kenneth Paul fled after the incident, said the police. It was not immediately clear as of this writing what the motive in the stabbing was./PN
