ILOILO City – Two cans of powdered milk worth more than P4,000 were seized from a native of Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Roxy Constantino, 21, was arrested after taking the items from a drug store without paying for them, a police report showed.
Constantino, who was temporarily staying in Barangay Rizal Pala-Pala II, City Proper, was detained at Police Station 1.
Constantino entered Mercury Drug on corner Valeria-Delgado streets, City Proper at around 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 28. He took two cans of Sustagen Premium and just left, the police report stated.
Drugstore attendant Rommel Bornales, 44, saw Constantino and ran after him.
Bornales placed him under citizen arrest and turned him over to the police.
The items Constantino took cost P2,019 each, or a total of P4,038, the police report showed./PN
