BACOLOD City – For alleged qualified rape, a man was arrested in Hacienda Baging, Barangay Caliban, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
The 51-year-old resident Alejandro “Engkok” Palma Jr. was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Ray Alan Drilon of the Regional Trial Court Branch 41 in this city dated June 15.
Palma violated Article 266-A in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, the warrant stated.
Palma, who is considered the No. 6 most wanted person in the town, was arrested around 10 a.m. on Oct. 5, a police report showed.
Members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and Murcia police station staged the operation.
The court did not recommend a bail bond for Palma./PN
