ILOILO City – For beating an elderly woman with a bamboo stick, an elderly man from Barangay Railway, La Paz was arrested.
The 69-year-old Eduardo Ardama was hauled to the custodial facility of the district police station.
Ardama had an altercation with the 65-year-old Rosalina Parcon, also of Barangay Railway, who was lying on a bed at the La Paz public market at around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a police report showed.
Ardama, believed to be drunk, grabbed a bamboo struck and struck Parcon on the head, police said.
