ILOILO City – An illegal possession of firearm charge may be filed against a man arrested yesterday at the public market in President Roxas, Capiz.
Officers seized a shotgun from Jeny Salapar of the same town at around 9:45 a.m., a police report showed.
Police patrolling the area spotted the firearm tucked in Salapar’s waist.
Salapar failed to show them any document proving his legal ownership of the weapon, the police report stated.
Detained at the President Roxas police station custodial facility, Salapar was facing a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
