ILOILO City – Two people including a minor were injured in a rumble in Barangay Poblacion, Dingle, Iloilo.
Julius Chavez of Barangay Anoring, Sara town sustained a stab wound on the back.
The 14-year-old was taken to the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in the nearby Pototan town, a police report showed.
Marco Jayme Buncalan of Barangay Potolan, Dingle, on the other hand, sustained a gunshot wound on the stomach.
Police said the 21-year-old was confined at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district here.
Chavez and Buncalan were members of two groups of people that had an altercation at around 12:05 a.m. on Saturday. It was Buncalan’s group that attacked first, the police report showed.
Buncalan was tagged as the one who stabbed Chavez. The one who shot Buncalan remained unidentified as of this writing./PN
