ILOILO – Today, Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr. will deliver his seventh State of the Province Address (SOPA) at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) session hall, Iloilo Provincial Capitol.
According to Provincial Administrator Raul Banias, significant accomplishments of the provincial government for the past year will be highlighted.
These included the improvements on provincial government-run district hospitals, infrastructure projects and the various awards reaped by Iloilo, said Banias.
“If we look back sa previous nga SOPA ni Gov, we were talking about results-based management, so ano na ang resulta, ang input, output kag outcome para sa mga pumoluyo,” said Jose Nereo Lujan, chief of the provincial capitol’s Public Information and Community Affairs Office.
Expected to attend the SOPA are members of the SP, mayors of Iloilo’s 42 towns and one component city (Passi), regional and provincial directors of government agencies, chiefs of the
12 district hospitals, capitol department heads and employees.
In his SOPA last year, Defensor said the provincial government managed to carry out various projects because of its partnership with various government agencies and foreign organizations.
He also boasted of the awards and recognitions the capitol received for its outstanding performance in various fields./PN
