BACOLOD City – A security guard was killed in a road accident in Barangay Talaban, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.

Chief Inspector Antonio Benitez Jr., Himamaylan police chief, identified him as the 24-year-old Ronnie Buenaventura of Barangay 2, Himamaylan City.

Buenaventura was on his way home driving a Rusi 125 motorcycle at around 11:25 p.m. on Sunday when he hit a signage on the road and lost control of the vehicle, a police report showed.

Police said Buenaventura fell on the ground and sustained head and body injuries.

He was rushed to the Gov. Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial District Hospital in Himamaylan City where the attending physician pronounced him “dead on arrival.”/PN
