ILOILO City – A resident of Barangay Quintin Salas, Jaro district was detained for allegedly stealing a Megaworld Corp.-owned copper wire.
Security officers of Annex Mall at the Iloilo Business Park arrested Noeme Formacion, 29, and brought him to the Mandurriao police station.
Guard Rannie Jadolan told officers he found two pieces of 200-millimeter copper wires 7 inches long each inside Formacion’s bag during inspection when the suspect was about to leave the building, a police report showed.
An Iloilo Business Park engineer, Michael Alisen, confirmed that the wires belonged to Megaworld Corp., police said.
Jadolan and Security Supervisor Remy Lihao accosted Formacion and turned him over to the Mandurriao police at around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday./PN
