ILOILO City – Police seized three firearms and several ammunition from a house in Barangay Asluman (Islas de Gigantes), Carles, Iloilo.
House owner Nestor Decano, 70, was arrested.
Decano was facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, a police report showed.
Armed with a search warrant, operatives from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Regional Public Safety Battalion, and Carles police station swooped down on his house at around 6:20 p.m. on Thursday.
They recovered the following:
* 12-gauge shotgun (serial number 0502020)
* .45 pistol (serial number BAO6229)
* .22 rifle
* three magazines for a .45 pistol
* 21 live bullets for a .45 pistol
* 23 live bullets for a 12-gauge shotgun
The CIDG Region 6 took custody of Decano, the police report stated./PN
