ILOILO City – Joining a drinking session with strangers is not a good idea.
A 24-year-old resident of Barangay Dungon C, Mandurriao learned this the hard way yesterday.
Joeben Tamagos reported to the police that several men he just met the district public plaza mauled him at around 3:30 a.m.
The men invited him to drink liquor with them. One of them asked him to buy them cigarettes, a police report showed.
When he was about to leave to buy cigarettes, three of them ganged up on him, Tamago told the police.
Tamagos sustained injuries on the different parts of the body.
One witness identified two of the attackers as “Jap-Jap” and “Daboy,” investigators said.
The suspects were nowhere to be found when the police and Tamagos went back to the plaza./PN
