ILOILO City – Not once but twice.
A resident of Petalsville Subdivision in Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro district was accused of attacking a 21-year-old trisikad (pedicab) driver.
The 32-year-old Antonio Bellasa, also known as “Negro” and “Lapad,” was arrested and detained at the Jaro police station.
Vicente Talaman told the police he pulled over his trisikad in front of a store at around 5:40 p.m. on Nov. 29 when Bellasa approached him, slapped him on the mouth and threatened to punch him.
Talaman could not think of a reason for Bellasa to hit him, police said.
He left the place but later returned. That was when Bellasa struck him again, this time using a piece of wood, Talaman told the police.
He left but Bellasa chased and threatened to kill him, the trisikad driver claimed./PN
