BACOLOD City – A man died while another was injured in a shooting incident in Purok Kingfisher, Barangay 16.
The 38-year-old resident Harold Tornilla was killed while Jessie Lampanero, 26, of Barangay 35 was injured, a police report showed.
Investigation that officers from Police Station 1 conducted showed that two still unidentified men on board a motorcycle shot Tornilla and Lampanero using a .45-caliber gun along Bagong Dalan Street around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 3.
Tornilla sustained gunshot wounds on the body and was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional where attending physician Dr. Philip Ouano pronounced him dead at around 10:55 p.m. that day.
Lampanero, who sustained a gunshot wound on the left leg, was brought to the same hospital where he was currently under treatment, police said.
The gunmen fled after the shooting.
Senior Inspector Leo Estopa, commander of Police Station 1, said they were still identifying the suspects and the motive in the shooting./PN
