TWENTY-FIVE teams are willing to join the 2017 Open Invitational Volleyball Cup that Leon town in Iloilo province will host from Dec. 26 to 29.
Seventeen teams wanted to play in the men’s division and eight in the women’s division, according to the Leon Volleyball Association (LEVA).
But LEVA, in an advisory, said more teams may still join.
Those wishing to participate in the tournament have until 1 p.m. of Dec. 15 to pass the requirements, LEVA said.
Expected to join the men’s side are Western Institute of Technology, Central Philippine University, San Miguel, Metrogade/Renegade, Selecta, Maasin, Dumangas, Cabatuan, Tigbauan, Leon A, Leon B, Alimodian, Mandurriao Volleyball Club, Pavia, Passi City, Iloilo Doctors’ College Alumni, and University of San Agustin.
On the distaff side are San Miguel, Leon, Iloilo Doctors’ College, Tigbauan, Cabatuan, CPU, USA, and Passi City.
Late registrants will not be entertained.
Teams that already expressed intent to join have until Dec. 17 to pay the registration fee./PN
