ILOPRISAA fighters took home 18 medals in the Iloilo Schools Sports Council (ISSC) Meet taekwondo kyorugi from Dec. 7 to 9 in Iloilo City.
The jins captured 11 gold, five silver and two bronze medals in competitions at the PAREF-Westbridge School gym.
Capturing gold medals in girls division were Sheriemei Anne Hojilla, Elisha Venice Aguilar, Angela Marie Bermejo, Marielle Salarda, Mary Grace Belisario, Shaianne Belle Hojilla, and Czarylle Faye Edwardine Deniro.
Winning gold medals in the boys division were Jake Christian Mamigo, Jieben Lark Recabar, Adriano Horlador III, and Aldriene Earle Horlador.
Meanwhile, those who won silver medals were Hans Nikolai Dequilla, Kharla Marie Saberon, John Paolo Agapolo, Clarence Jotham Gancero, and Djanne Joed Sarria, while the bronze medalists are Richhlie Sumido and Ronald Kyle Pico.
“I am glad that what we taught them showed in the players’ performance,” one of the trainers, Mark V. Pinggol, told Panay News. “Now we focus on preparing them for the WVRAA (Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet).”
Aside from Pinggol, other trainers of the ILOPRISAA jins were Ryan Dignadice, Mark Ian Tachado and Quinn Pauline Hormigoso.
Their coaches were Alan Diaznest, Jenelyn Eugalca Cajolo, Bena Sumagaysay, Paul John Espora, and Floramie Navales./PN
