ILOILO City – Two people from Iloilo province have been arrested for an estafa charge.
One of them was a teacher in New Lucena town – 51-year-old Jocelyn Lubong.
Officers caught the resident of Barangay Cafe, Santa Barbara in the village at around 7:40 a.m. on Monday, a police report showed.
The court set the bail bond for her temporary liberty at P36,000. Lubong was processing her bail as of this writing.
Later in the day, at around 3 p.m., a 59-year-old man from Barangay Balud Lilo-an, Zarraga was arrested for the same charge.
Zarraga police officers caught Ernie Bretana in Barangay Ilaya Poblacion in the town.
Bretana was taken into custody by the Zarraga police station.
The court has set the bail bond for his temporary liberty at P10,000.
It was not clear as of this writing if the suspect has posted bail./PN
