ILOILO City – Just another drunken fight.
A 23-year-old man told the police a drinking buddy struck him with a beer bottle in Barangay Kasingkasing, Molo district.
Vergel Mandeoya said he went binge drinking with Reymar Yanson, Clement Balaguer, Jim Aguirre, and Kim Astorias at around 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 13.
Mandeoya and Yanson suddenly got into a heated argument, prompting the latter to grab a Red Horse bottle and broke it on the former’s head, a police report showed.
Mandeoya told the police Yanson attacked him further, wounding him on the face and chest.
Yanson fled after the incident. Iloilo City Emergency Response team personnel treated Mandeoya.
Police referred the case to the barangay lupon./PN
